Nest Incorporated proudly announces that during Australian Closed 2019 we will raise funds to help several programs which we have selected.
One of our goals for 2019 is to help the Centar Zvezda / Star Center association (http://www.centarzvezda.rs/home/en).
The Star Center for social integration of children and youth is an association of citizens whose goal is to promote fostering, help children without parental care in orphanages transition into adults, as well as those who are getting ready for an independent life after leaving the social care system.
Centar Zvezda has since November 2015 launched their House of Opportunity program which aims at providing shelter for children leaving the social care system. Residents of the Houses of Opportunity will be taught domestic skills training, will be provided with various workshops and social activities/events all in order to gain independence.
The House of Opportunity program also aims at creating a self-sustainable ecosystem for its residents by allowing to make and sell candles, printed t-shirts and sewed craft works.
Nest Inc. will also be looking at raising funds in order to buy either a candle making machine or a t-shirt printing machine for one of the Houses of Opportunity.
Our other goal is to help a young athlete from Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Mila Petrovic is a young judoka from Sarajevo, and she is the youngest senior champion of BiH ever in judo. She was also the champion of her country in all the junior categories. Mila won the bronze medal at the 2018 U21 Balkan Championship in her weight category.
We at Nest Inc. will look at helping this young promising athlete with her training arrangements.
Finally and as announced earlier, this coming year we are also organizing a junior tennis tournaments (Australian Closed Junior) from which all proceedings and funds raised will go to Royal Far West. Read more here.
